Our speaker, Joe Patti, NARFE Chapter 372 member was introduced by George Shal.

Joe Patti, Service/Newsletter – George recommended that the Chapter Newsletter be published before the next meeting and that Joe send it to George in a week so that he, George, would have time to print it and get it posted to the Chapter Web Site prior to the March meeting.

Gwen Wilson - Sunshine – She was introduced by George as the new Sunshine person to the pleasure of all. Gwen reported that Helen Scott had broken her foot and that she would be sending a get well card to her.

Old Business;

Peg, 2nd Vice President, reminded everyone to continue their donations to Alzheimer's Research. She then reviewed the Programs and Activities schedule as currently scheduled for this year. The meetings for March will have Jim Gerlach (a Saturday meeting), for April a speaker on taxes, for May, State Representative Kate Harper (a Saturday meeting), for June a social trip to Chanticleer (which was voted on and approved at this meeting), and for July, Ted Mason speaking on real estate assessments.

Peggy also reported on the form handed out at last meeting for members to suggest activities for the year. After some discussion it was decided to go to Chanticleer for the June social event as reported above. It is a guided 90 minute tour of house and gardens costing about $10 per person. We may meet at Minella's Diner in Wayne for lunch beforehand.

George then requested those members involved in the District 2 Leadership Symposium in Gettysburg to remain after the meeting and discuss the details.

George then made a motion to elect the Delegates for the Pennsylvania Convention in May. George Shal and Joe Patti were approved as the primary Delegates and Sue Mason and Peg Bergman were approved as the alternate delegates.

George announced the District 2 Leadership Symposium which is to be held in Gettysburg, PA March 23 and 24. He encouraged all new officers and interested members to attend. It was agreed by all members present that 6 members would attend and that a sum of $1200 be appropriated from the budget for reimbursable expenses.

New Business:

Al will submit the bill for reimbursement for a new 3 ring binder and a 3-hole punch he had bought at Staples at the next meeting. The present binder he received from Peg was full.
